John Daniel Brown

I am taking the liberty of including John's obituary here because it will only be available at the previous link for 30 days.

WINNSBORO - A memorial service for John Daniel Brown, age 72, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Pope Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Kathy Griffin. Mr. Brown died on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at his home.

Son of the late Horace A. and Edna Petersen Brown, he was born May 24, 1935, in Hazel Park, Michigan. He worked for Chrysler Air Temp where he had been a supervisor.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie Kelly Brown of the home; two daughters, Cynthia B. Heller and her husband Jeffrey of Ohio and Tracy B. Gantt and her husband Ronald of Winnsboro; three brothers, Horace L. Brown and Billy J. Brown, both of Michigan, and Timothy E. Brown of Mississippi; two sisters, Arlene B. Bowen of Florida and Mary B. Brown of Indiana; five grandchildren, Rebecca Burrowes Wiselogel and her husband Nicholas, Jason Burrowes and his wife Jocelyn, Sarah Brown Blair, Samuel Gantt and Emily Heller; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Helen Sexton; and two special nephews and their families, Len Brown and his wife Linda, and Alex Sexton and his wife Darlene. He was predeceased by one daughter, Leslie Daneen Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the South Carolina Oncology Associates, 166 Stonebridge, Columbia, SC 29210, or the charity of one’s choice.

Mr. Brown will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his beloved dog, Bandit.
